ADVANCE.
I had the opportunity to work on Advance, an online learning platform designed for undergraduate students and professionals looking to develop new skills and advance their careers.

Our goal was to make learning feel more accessible, approachable, and less intimidating. The real challenge was translating that idea into a visual identity—one that felt modern and engaging while encouraging people to take the next step in their learning journey.

Advance was born as a spin-off of Ta3leem, a project I had previously worked on that focused heavily on traditional education. While Ta3leem was designed around academic learning, Advance set out to serve a different audience—students, graduates, and professionals looking to gain practical skills that could directly impact their careers. This shift gave me the opportunity to rethink the brand from the ground up, creating an identity that felt more modern, approachable, and built for lifelong learning.

The logo went through countless iterations, with each version pushing the concept toward something simpler, clearer, and more intentional. The idea was to visualize the journey of learning a new skill, but without making it feel overwhelming. We didn't want the path to appear long or intimidating—instead, the logo was designed to communicate that learning can feel achievable and rewarding, and that every small step moves you closer to your goal.

To complete the concept, I introduced an upward-pointing arrow at the end of the path. It serves as a symbol of achievement—the moment where dedication turns into growth, new skills, and career progress. It's a small detail, but one that reinforces the idea that every learning journey has a meaningful destination.

To give the identity maximum flexibility, I chose a combination mark consisting of a lettermark and an icon. Together, they create a strong and recognizable logo, while each element is equally capable of standing on its own. This allows the brand to remain consistent and instantly recognizable across everything from the website and app to social media, icons, and marketing materials.

Color played a key role in making the brand feel both structured and expressive. We built the identity around four primary colors that establish a consistent foundation, supported by a system of eleven secondary colors. Each secondary color represents a different educational category, creating a flexible visual language that helps organize content while giving every subject its own distinct identity.

To create a more cohesive identity, I extended the same concept behind the logo into the brand pattern. Inspired by the learning journey, the pattern uses the same flowing path and directional movement to reinforce the idea of progress, growth, and continuous development. It's a subtle detail that strengthens the visual identity while making the brand feel more connected across every touchpoint.

When choosing the typography, the goal was to strike the right balance between friendliness and readability. I selected typefaces that feel approachable and modern while remaining highly legible across both digital and print applications, ensuring the brand is as easy to read as it is welcoming.
